The fabric used is actually genuine Donegal tweed, which is a 100% woolen fabric with colourful thick slubs woven into it, like tiny pompoms in various shades of light turquoise, pink, light purple, poppy red etc...

The dress is hemmed & fray-checked. Both items fasten with snaps.

For this collection, I had the chance to work with new colours as I was lucky to find some pretty new boiled wool fabrics.

Faux-fur trimmed double breasted boiled wool coat, with wooden buttons and a halfbelt at the back.

They fasten with snaps. They come with a matching crochetted hairpin/hairclip. Fully hemmed & entirely hand sewed.

I'm very happy to present a new Patchwork Princess set for pixie girls and fairy Queens !

- a pair of 3/4 denim pants which were given a slightly worn-out appearance for a vintage look,

- a pink mohair knitted jumper with short puff sleeves,

- a moss green mohair knitted scarf,

- a hazelnut brown mohair knitted dress with bell sleeves,

- a matching hood made with the same wool, fastening with woollen ties and featuring two pompoms,

- a fully functionnal and lined patchwork bag ( the shoulder strap is adjustable), with vintage flower beads.

I am very happy to introduce Mitzi, May & Marsha,

my dolls for the Blythe Summit :-)

It was definitely the most challenging deadline as I had little time & 3 girls to customize... so I worked day and night on this project :-)

All three girls were fully rerooted with mohair and I designed party outfits for them,

inspired from the late 60's & using vintage fabrics.

Let's start with Mitzi, a Middie Blythe (originally a Macaron Q-tea Party)

I've been in love with her ever since the first release, and I was thrilled to have one at home with me for a while. I LOVE Middie !

Marsha was a Manuheali'i Paradise Girl.

And last but not least, May, a Nostalgic Pop Blythe.

I also made some outfit sets for each of them.

Available with Middie are a couple of Patchwork Princess sets called "Forest friends":

For Marsha, I made a special Dolly Me set called "Funky Lady"

And for May, I created a Patchwork Princess set called "Pop Flowers"...

Blythe "Manga Girls Inspiration" Charity Auction

Mirwana & Captain Cat are amongst them !

It's been quite a while since my last update but if I've been pretty inactive online... I've been more than busy offline !

Magnolia is my custom girl for the Sunshine Festival which takes place at Junie Moon, Tokyo, Japan.

The theme for this event is "summer", and the doll offered for customization is Manuheali'i "Paradise Girl".

I've always wanted to customize another dark skinned girl ever since Nirvana but never got the chance so far so I was thrilled to be given this opportunity...

Magnolia was rerooted with long dark brown mohair. I chose pastel colours for her make up to enhance her dark skin. Her whole outfit is inspired from vintage fashion.

Her dress is made of pinkish amethyst cotton voile and is inspired from the 70's maxi dresses. She also comes with a pair of handmade cork platform shoes and a little embroidered bag which is inspired from a purse my aunt brought me from a trip to India when I was a kid. Her necklace is of course a magnolia flower, which in Floriography means " a love of nature"...

I also made a couple of "Mademoiselle Magnolia" outfit sets.

They include a pair of denim flared trousers, a tunic dress made of the same amethyst cotton voile, a magnolia necklace (length is adjustable), a little embroidered bag and a flower hairpin.

Following the earthquake and tsunami which stroke Japan, many doll & Blythe community members quickly organized raffles & auctions to collect some money & raise funds.

They can all be found in the Flickr group Dolly Community Unite for Japan.
Dollipop & Fishberry Jam have also made lists of all the raffles, auctions & special sales.

The Dandelion Dance collection includes some embroidered tunic dresses for Blythe, Dal and Lati dolls (Yellow & White SP) as well as boiled wool coats.

They are all inspired from vintage items.

The tunic dresses will fit both Dal & Blythe dolls.

The bodice is made of lightweight corduroy and features hand embroidered flowers & leaves as well as ric rac. The cotton used is a two-tone fabric. It is made of 2 different colour threads and looks similar to chambray & silk. As for the sleeves, they are made of ivory cotton gauze. The dresses are hemmed and fasten at the back with a snap. They can be worn over a pair of trousers or on their own.

Stella agreed to model a new collection of coats I've been working on lately. They are made of boiled wool and are double-breasted with a half-belt at the back, just like the previous Licorice coats but this time they are (faux)fur-trimmed and feature wooden buttons.

After much delay, I'm happy to introduce a new collection of bags called "Dolly Me".

Just like the Patchwork Princess sets, they will all be different from one set to another.
The first one is called "Dandelion" and is listed on ebay.

It includes:

- a crochetted ivory hat,

- a pair of moss green linen trousers,

- a bubblegum pink felt jacket with faux fur, real pockets and buttonholes, and vintage brass buttons,

- a shirt with poet sleeves made of ivory cotton gauze,

- a black corduroy tank top with hand embroidered flowers (they all have different colours and the leaves are made of

two different shades)

- a matching pair of black corduroy shorts,

- green moss tights and

- a fully functionnal and lined "Dolly Me" bag (the shoulder strap is adjustable), with appliqué dolly face.

The jacket, trousers, shorts and tank tops are hemmed.

I have worked on a little Patchwork Princess boxed set, this time for Lati Yellow dolls.

- a mini skirt made with the same fabric,
- a pink mohair knitted dress,

- a little green dress with an orange flower bead,

- a flower hat pin (can be added & removed)

You can mix & match the clothes and basically dress up to 3 dolls with the various items.
All the clothes fasten with plastic snaps which won't damage your doll.

... is my custom Miss Retro Mama. I rerooted her with yellow mohair a while ago but for some reason she had never had a photosession. I pictured her while she was following a pumpkin path, on her way to a Halloween party and the day after.

Graphic-sha (Dolly Dolly) has just published a photo book called "Doll Snaps", featuring dolls around the world and Stellie is proud to be one of them.

I had very little time to come up with something as I had missed the deadline, so I rushed and made her a new outfit for that special occasion.

For this book, I had people send snippets of the lives of dolls living across seas or high mountains, who I can't meet in person. Doll-loving photographers around the world have lovingly taken pictures of their companions, chatting them as they did. There are over 300 dolls - it's like a dream!"

I am very happy to introduce my anniversary doll for

the 9th charity exhibition "Manga Girls Inspiration".

Base doll was Jardin de Maman

"According to the legend, Mirwana and her inseparable friend and crew member Meow (whose skills and reputation owed him the well-deserved title of "Captain Cat") started their lives as two fictional characters whose adventures were depicted in a manga.

Somehow, they managed to escape their two-dimensional existence and went on to live their own life in other realities.

They now travel through galaxies and constellations, space and time, on board their spaceship "the Wanderer", and were last seen near the Milky Way.

They are now writing their own story".

Although Mirwana and Captain Cat are entirely the product of my imagination, they were inspired by the manga characters who deeply impressed me ever since I was a kid and who are still my heroes to this day.

I was absolutely thrilled to work on this project & pay tribute to my favourite heroes from the wonderful world of Leiji Matsumoto. I think his space operas are absolute masterpieces.

Captain Harlock (Albator in the French version), Maya, Queen Emeraldas, Maetel, Mi-kun, Kei Yûki (known as Nausicaa in the French version), Shep & Stella from Interstella 5555, Sen-Nen Joou (Princess Millenium)...

Second collection for the Tokyo doll show

These sets include a houndstooth tunic dress, a reversible headband, a flower hairpin and a kitty bag. All accessories, flowers, bags etc are handmade.

Been working for the doll show in Tokyo

where I'll be sharing a booth with Ruth (Eurotrash) and Romina ( I have Wings) and thanks to the lovely Lhohy Chan who will be our "host".

Six handmade "Patchwork Princess" sets will be available.

They all include a mohair dress, either with bell or puff sleeves, a felt & pearl flower hairpin, knitted scarf and hat & a patchwork bag.

Stella volunteered to model the whole collection and a couple of friends gave me a hand with the bags display.

Dresses close at the back with 2 snaps.

Real patchwork bags are lined, straps are adjustable and they fasten with a snap.

They are adorned with a wooden pearl and glass bell flower beads.

All sets are boxed.

A few ladybugs dresses will be available in my Artfire :-)
They're made of a japanese fabric which I fell in love with.
Tiny red ladybugs on leaves (green, half eaten, glittery pink or striped ...) on a soft brown background.

Long sleeves babydoll dress :

Apart from the pink velvet dress (which includes a ladybug bag and a headband) they're all trimmed with black lace and tiny brown ric rac.
Short puffy sleeves are made of vintage black & white dotted fabric, or vintage dotted swiss fabric for the long sleeves. Pink velvet bodice for the babydoll versions.

Mathilda, my anniversary girl

Time to introduce Mathilda and my little contribution to the Blythe 8th anniversary charity exhibition. This year theme is "Fashion Obsession".

I picked the 70's as the main influence for my set.
Keywords : 70's, bohemian, autumn :-)

As a kid, Mathilda loved to spend her time in her grandmum's attic, her little wonderland. The wardrobes and trunks were full of old time treasures: bags, dresses, coats, hats, purses, jewels and shoes from previous decades. All forgotten. They all seemed to be asleep, only waiting to be awaken. For Mathilda, there was something magical about them: they had a soul, a story to tell.
Later on, as a grown-up, Mathilda's love for retro clothing had turned into a real passion, which led her to go to garage sales, second hand shops and flea markets, always searching for that special piece of clothing awaiting to be brought to life once again.

Mathilda's outfit takes us back to our favorite decades music and fashion wise and revisits the bohemian look which has been a recurring fashion theme throughout the last century and beyond.
Her dress, inspired from the 20's, pairs with a skinny fit embroidered coat which screams 70's. Some lace up boots and a patchwork shoulder bag complete her retro look.
I was absolutely thrilled to work on this project.

Tight fitting featherweight corduroy dress in leaf green, with puffy sleeves.

Fastens at the back with a snap and a tiny loop & pearl behind the neck.

Black and white dotty bag with pink ultrasuede handles, green ric rac and a vintage daisy cabochon.

They are filled with stuffing to keep their shape.

Patchwork Princess sets:

Mohair knitted dress with roll neck and bell sleeves ( fastening at the back with a snap and a tiny hook), crocheted hat, stockings and a (real) patchwork bag with tiny birds and pompoms. The bags open up so your Blythes can cary their everyday belongings. They close with a little snap.

Introducing Daisy

Daisy was my very first Kenner, but the last one to be restored.
She suffered from a broken knee and her remaining hair was damaged beyond repaired.
She has been waiting patiently for a well-deserved first photo session.

She stayed in Lyon for a week and I was overjoyed to welcome her !
She's such a special girl.

The wardrobe I made especially for her included a lilac mohair dress and top, a dotted tunic dress, chartreuse green knitted hat and scarf with a matching felt flower, a patchwork bag and some denim items...
I took her to the Parc de la Tête d'Or (famous for its rose and botanical gardens) where we had a few photo sessions, and around Lyon.

She enjoyed talking about clothes with the other girls, and was spoiled with petits fours, éclairs and other French patisseries.

Time flies, and before we had a chance to realise that a week had gone by, it was already time to leave and say goodbye... She will be greatly missed !
